AMAZON  RAINFOREST 

 
The amazon rainforest is said to be the largest rainforest in the world. It's size is estimated at 6.9% million square kilometers.      
                                                  
the amazon rainforest belongs to nine   countries, 60% of which belong to Brazil  the amazon river , also flows through it. the forest is also home to 3/4 of the currently recorded plant species. The number of plant species recorded in the Amazon. rainforest is about 80000 and  the forest also provides habitat for about 20000 animals. but since 1978, more than 750 square kilometers have been destroyed. but since 2004, with steps being taken to prevent this catastrophe, that percentage has dropped.                                                                                        commitment of environmentalists and introduction of new safety zones. The enforcement of the rules has contributed to this .
